Ensuring that any holistic dentist is an IAOMT and SMART-certified member is essential. Smart certification demonstrates that if they ever remove a mercury filling from someone's mouth, they are aware of a protocol that keeps the patient safe from exposure to unhealthy amounts of mercury vapor during the procedure. Being SMART certified means they have demonstrated that they possess the necessary equipment and understand the protocols.

WHAT IS OZONE DENTISTRY?
Ozone is a safe and effective treatment for periodontal disease, disinfecting deep decay and extraction sites, as well as addressing other serious dental conditions. In addition, it helps support what your body does naturally, exceeding the job of several rounds of traditional treatment all at once.

WHAT IS A 3D CONE BEAM SCAN?
A 3D Cone Beam Scan is a unique three-dimensional X-ray that provides significantly more information than a conventional 2D X-ray and is the gold standard for detecting dental infections. Research has shown that 34% of all infections do not appear on a regular 2D X-ray. 3D imaging enables doctors to visualize critical anatomic structures for implant placement and oral surgery, evaluate old root canals, locate silent or hidden infection sites, and more.
