Regular care at Studio Z is very beneficial to patients because it allows us and our team to keep a very close eye every six months, every four months, regardless of the recall interval. It allows us to keep track and history of what the patient looks like at certain time points throughout the year. That’s just part of the continuity of care that they receive is that every four to six months they are being seen by the same providers who are tracking their progress, noting areas of potentially breakdown, areas of positive progression, areas of stability, and so they’re able to really track and monitor a patient’s progress and determine treatment needs based off of the historical data that we’ve collected on patients and their oral conditions over a long period of time.
During a routine dental visit, patients can expect a cleaning, x-rays if they are due for them, and an exam by the overseeing doctor. And if the general dentist you know notices that the patient has treatment needs beyond their scope of practice, typically that would warrant a referral to specialty care. And so it’s all under the same roof whether it’s hygiene, general dental needs, or specialty surgical care.
